A New Program for November 2

Tokyo Metropolitan Government has announced that TOKYO ANIME NEXT 2026's main event, on November 2 at 6:30pm (approximately 90 minutes), will pair scene footage and live orchestral performance from Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba), Attack on Titan, and Detective Conan.

The Tokyo Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra performs, joined live by theme-song artists Maai Kuraki, Nami Nakagawa, and Ai Higuchi. Admission is free, with reserved seating awarded by lottery.

The Rest of the Event

What To Know

Pairing three of the biggest anime franchises with a full orchestra and the actual theme-song artists, rather than just screening episodes, is a genuinely different way to experience these series live.

Anime theme-song concerts paired with orchestral scoring are an established live-event format in Japan, treating anime music as concert repertoire in its own right rather than background audio - this event brings that format to a public, free, Tokyo Metropolitan Government-backed stage.
