Ayase Ueda has scored again for Lille in Ligue 1.

A Left-Footed Finish

The Japan striker started up front against Nice on September 20 and found the net in the 79th minute.

With Lille trailing 2–0, Maurits Kjaergaard released Ueda down the left. Ueda finished the move with a left-footed half-volley to reduce the deficit to 2–1.

A Close Second Chance, and a First Defeat

Ueda nearly equalized only minutes later, but his close-range header was saved by Nice goalkeeper Yehvann Diouf.

Lille could not complete the comeback and lost 2–1, their first Ligue 1 defeat of the season. For Ueda, however, the goal continued a strong start after his summer move from Feyenoord.
