Ayase Ueda's first weeks in France have given Japanese football fans another European league to follow closely.

The Japan striker joined Lille from Feyenoord at the end of August, becoming the first Japanese player in LOSC history. He quickly scored his first Ligue 1 goal after coming off the bench against Toulouse and has also scored in European competition.
