Cup Noodles Museum Yokohama Turns 15 With a Citywide Chicken Stamp Rally
カップヌードルミュージアム横浜、15周年で「ひよこちゃん」スタンプラリー開催
Article
Cup Noodles Museum Yokohama opened in September 2011, and on September 17, 2026, it turns 15. Rather than marking the anniversary with a single-venue event, Nissin is turning it into a reason to explore the whole Minato Mirai waterfront.
A Stamp Rally Across Eight Locations
"YOKOHAMAでひよこちゃん発見!スマホdeスタンプラリー" — Find Hiyoko-chan in YOKOHAMA! Smartphone Stamp Rally — runs September 2 through 30, 2026. Participants scan QR codes at nine checkpoints spread across eight Minato Mirai-area facilities: Cup Noodles Museum Yokohama itself, Yokohama Cosmo World (two checkpoints), YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN, Pacifico Yokohama's exhibition hall, Pukari Pier, Yokohama Hammerhead, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, and Yokohama World Porters.
Collecting six or more digital stamps qualifies participants for an original item — a keychain, magnet, zipper bag, or hand towel — available at the museum's own entrance hall.
A Train Pass Made for the Occasion
Alongside the stamp rally, Yokohama Minato Mirai Railway is selling a limited-run, 15th-anniversary-branded one-day pass for the Minato Mirai Line, sold from September 2 at each line station — a practical companion for anyone actually trying to hit all nine checkpoints in a day.
Why It's More Than a Museum Promotion
Cup Noodles Museum Yokohama is already one of the more hands-on brand museums in Japan, built around a make-your-own-cup-noodle experience rather than passive displays. Turning its 15th anniversary into a rally across the surrounding waterfront extends that same experiential logic outward — instead of celebrating the museum in isolation, the campaign asks visitors to treat the whole district as part of the story.
What To Know
This turns a single museum's anniversary into a reason to actually walk the whole Minato Mirai waterfront — the checkpoints stretch from the museum itself out to the Cosmo Clock ferris wheel, the Air Cabin ropeway, and the Red Brick Warehouse, so the campaign works as a loose, self-paced tour of the area as much as a brand promotion.
Character-driven digital stamp rallies are a common Japanese format for encouraging visitors to move between multiple real locations rather than staying at one spot — tying a beloved mascot (here, Nissin's Hiyoko-chan chick character) to a defined walking route through a city district.
