Autumn MondoCon 2026: Anime Concerts and Cosplay Take Over Budapest

Article

Budapest is getting a direct taste of Japanese anime music this October.

Two Days, Two Big Concerts

Autumn MondoCon 2026 runs October 17-18 at Hungexpo, with two major concerts headlining the program. Who-ya, known for performing anime theme songs including Jujutsu Kaisen and Psycho-Pass 3 openings, is confirmed to perform.

More Than Just Concerts

Beyond the music, MondoCon's program includes cosplay guests, voice actor guests, a K-pop cover stage competition, a karaoke competition, a League of Legends tournament, and a special anime film screening.

What To Know

For anime fans across Central Europe, MondoCon is one of the few chances each year to see an anime theme-song artist perform live without traveling all the way to Japan - a concert-caliber booking like Who-ya is a genuine draw, not just a convention side activity.

Anime theme-song artists like Who-ya rarely tour outside Japan, so a dedicated concert slot at a European convention represents real international outreach from Japan's anime music industry, rather than a generic "anime culture" booth presence.

What Fans Are Saying

• "Who-ya in Budapest is such a big get for a European con."
• "The LoL tournament alongside anime concerts is a fun mix."
• "Central Europe's anime scene keeps leveling up every year."
