Persona Turns 30 — And Takes Over Harajuku's Newest Landmark
『ペルソナ』30周年コラボ、原宿ハラカドで開幕
Article
A 30th-anniversary takeover in Harajuku
Atlus and SEGA's long-running Persona RPG series marked its 30th anniversary in 2026, and the milestone has now landed a physical presence in Tokyo: a collaboration with Tokyu Plaza Harajuku "Harakado," running September 12 through September 27, 2026.
The 16-day takeover spans two floors of the building — a pop-up shop on the 7th floor and a themed cafe menu at the Share Cafe on the 6th floor.
What's actually there
The pop-up shop sells newly illustrated merchandise created specifically for the anniversary, along with limited-edition drinkware. The 6th-floor cafe offers a Persona-themed food and drink menu for the run of the event.
The collaboration is part of a wider year of 30th-anniversary activity for the series, which has also included a dedicated anniversary website and tie-ins at other venues across Asia.
Why Harajuku
Harakado is one of Harajuku's newest landmark commercial buildings, and hosting a major game franchise's anniversary event there reinforces the district's role as one of Tokyo's most active hubs for pop culture collaborations — see TBM's Harajuku guide for more on what else the neighborhood offers.
What To Know
Persona is one of the most internationally recognized Japanese RPG franchises, and a real, physical 30th-anniversary takeover in one of Tokyo's most-photographed shopping districts gives both local and visiting fans an easy, dated reason to make a special trip.
Harakado is one of Harajuku's newest landmark buildings, and this collaboration sits alongside the district's broader identity as Tokyo's capital of youth fashion, pop culture, and collaboration pop-ups — the same neighborhood TBM's existing Harajuku guides already cover.
