Article

16 groups, one bracket

"IDOL WAR: THE LAST THRONE" is a single-elimination voting tournament organized by JK Fandom in partnership with REMATCH, pitting 16 idol groups against each other across four rounds: Best 16, Best 8, Best 4, and the Final.

The Best 16 round runs from September 10 (Thursday) at 12:00 to September 14 (Monday) at 15:00. The Best 8 round follows, running September 15 (Tuesday) at 12:00 through September 19 (Saturday) at 15:00.

How voting works

Fans vote through the JK Fandom and REMATCH apps, with votes from both platforms combined for each matchup's result. Two voting methods are available: free votes (300 Heart/Push Points per matchup, per day) and paid votes (30 Star Points).

The organizers describe voting as accessible to fans in Japan, Korea, and globally.

What the winner receives

The winning group receives large outdoor billboard exposure in both Japan and Korea, giving the tournament's outcome real visibility beyond the voting app itself.

What To Know

A single-elimination tournament format gives fans a direct way to actively support a group in real time, and the cross-border voting mechanic (Japan, Korea, and worldwide) makes it a genuinely international fan event rather than a purely domestic one.

Fan-driven voting tournaments like this reflect a broader trend of platforms giving international fans a direct role in an idol group's visibility, rather than exposure being decided only by agencies or broadcasters.
