SHIBUYA SKY, the observation facility atop Shibuya Scramble Square, is running an autumn festival called "Tenkū Yume Matsuri" (天空夢祭, roughly "Sky Dream Festival") from September 1 through September 27, 2026.

Its centerpiece is a literal rooftop bon odori — traditional dancing staged not in a shrine courtyard or blocked-off street, but on the SKY STAGE observation deck, 229 meters above Shibuya.

The dancing happens on two specific nights — September 5 and September 12 — from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. It's accompanied by "Shibuya Scramble Ondo," a song written specifically for this event, plus a live performance by Sukeroku Daiko, one of the groups associated with what's often described as Japan's "three great taiko" traditions, and a set from performance act "Yoake no Chindon-ya."

Because this is a ticketed rooftop event rather than a street festival, admission follows SHIBUYA SKY's standard structure: web tickets run ¥2,700 before 2:59 p.m. and ¥3,400 from 3:00 p.m.; window tickets are ¥3,000 and ¥3,700 respectively.
