France and Saudi Arabia have formally welcomed Qiddiya Investment Company's ambition to develop a major mixed-use, multi-park destination in Cergy-Pontoise in the Île-de-France region, northwest of Paris.

The official French-Saudi joint statement describes a project worth around €6 billion across its development lifecycle, potentially including up to three major entertainment anchors, hotels and additional leisure experiences.

Why Dragon Ball Is in the Headlines

Major international reporting has connected Dragon Ball with the proposed French development.

Qiddiya already has a separate officially announced Dragon Ball theme-park project under development in Saudi Arabia, which helps explain the attention surrounding the French proposal.

But the French Dragon Ball License Is Not Yet Confirmed

The official France-Saudi joint statement confirms Qiddiya's multi-park Cergy-Pontoise development and its approximately €6 billion scale, but it does not itself name Dragon Ball.
